Retreat FAQ's
I’m coming on my own. Will that feel okay?
Absolutely. Most people come to our retreats solo, and many guests say this is one of the things they were most nervous about beforehand. We do our best to create a welcoming, relaxed environment where people can connect naturally, without pressure. There’s a good balance of community time and space to yourself.
Is the retreat suitable for beginners?
Yes. All sessions are designed to be accessible and supportive, whether you’re completely new to yoga and wellbeing practices or have been practising for years. Options and adaptations will be offered throughout the weekend.
Do I need to take part in every activity?
Not at all. This is your retreat, and we really encourage guests to listen to what they need. Everything is optional. You’re welcome to join all sessions, skip something for rest, spend time in nature, read, swim, or simply slow down.
Are all meals included?
Yes. Nourishing meals are included throughout the weekend, with food freshly prepared on site using seasonal and locally grown produce where possible, including ingredients from West Lexham’s biodynamic garden.
Can dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes. We can cater for most dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free diets. Please let us know any dietary needs when completing your registration form so we can support you properly.
Can children also join?
Unfortunately not. This retreat is for those aged 18 and over.
What should I bring?
We’ll send a full packing list closer to the retreat, but generally we recommend comfortable clothes for yoga and relaxing, swimwear, walking shoes, layers for evenings, and anything that helps you feel comfortable and grounded during your stay.
How do I get there?
West Lexham is in Norfolk, around 2.5 hours from London. The nearest train stations are King’s Lynn and Downham Market, and we usually help coordinate shared taxis and lift shares between guests closer to the retreat.
What is included in the retreat?
The retreat includes accommodation, meals, yoga and wellbeing sessions, sound healing, workshops, use of the venue grounds and nature spaces, and time to rest and reconnect. Some optional extras or 1:1 treatments may be available at additional cost.
What if I feel anxious about coming?
That’s completely understandable, and very common. Many people arrive feeling tired, overwhelmed or unsure, especially if they’ve never attended a retreat before. We aim to create a grounded, inclusive and supportive environment where there’s no pressure to be a certain way. You’re welcome to ease into the weekend at your own pace.
